Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The manuscript has not been previously published or is under consideration by any other journal. Manuscripts submitted to preprint servers with assigned DOI are accepted. Access the Letter of originality and authors' contribution and prepare your declaration according to the model; which must be attached as a supplementary file to the manuscript during the current submission process.
  • The original manuscript complies with the Uniformity requirements for originals of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.
  • References have been prepared following the requirements of the APA 7th edition. Whenever possible, the DOI or URL address is provided for each reference.
  • All illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the appropriate places in the text, rather than at the end, and there is a reference to each of them in the text.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines described below.
  • The data of the main author and each one of the co-authors are correctly reflected in the metadata of the submission; state full names and surnames, institution they represent, e-mail and updated ORCID (https://orcid.org).

Author Guidelines

The article submission process will be carried out exclusively online from the OJS platform of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo. The author must complete all the metadata requested in order to have the required information about the authors and the manuscript. To submit a manuscript, please consult and follow the instructions available in the Uniform requirements for originals of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.

Submitting and receiving the pertinent corrections through the submission system implies agreeing with the journal's policies and, among other points, agreeing with the following ethical and rigorous aspects:

  • The manuscript submitted is original and has not been previously published and is not being evaluated for publication in another journal. Manuscripts sent to preprint servers with assigned DOI are accepted. The Letter of originality and authors' contribution should be sent as a complementary file to the manuscript.
  • The manuscript complies with all the publication standards of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.
  • The manuscript complies with the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the Uniform requirements for originals of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.
  • The documents cited in the manuscript are issued by authoritative sources such as: prestigious organizations recognized by national or international bodies; national or international peer-reviewed scientific journals; repositories; as well as books and other documents that offer elements that identify authors or editors responsible for the published contents.
  • The main author of the manuscript is responsible for all the contents of the same and declares that there are no plagiarism, conflicts of interest or ethical conflicts, releasing the Journal from any ethical and legal commitment.

Authorship

All authors, in order to receive credit as such, must have contributed substantially to the following aspects or categories within the research:

  1. Study conception and design
  2. Collection, analysis and interpretation of data
  3. Elaboration of the draft (first version)
  4. Critical revision of the article with important contributions to its intellectual content
  5. Approval of the final version to be published
  6. Others considered relevant

All authors are responsible for the integrity and quality of the article submitted and eventually published. Authors who do not fall into these categories may be mentioned in the acknowledgements. Generally, neither the collection of data nor the contribution of funds can be considered exclusively for crediting authorship.

Declaration of the authors' contribution

Authors should state explicitly in the Letter of originality and authors' contribution the contribution of each one to the research.

As an example, the contributions can be described as follows, according to the previous categories:

  1. (Name and surname) and (Name and surname) designed the study, analyzed the data, and prepared the draft
  2. (Name and surname) was involved in the collection, analysis and interpretation of the data
  3. All authors reviewed the writing of the manuscript and approve the version finally submitted

All those who contributed to the article but who do not fit the above-mentioned categories of authorship or whose contributions were not sufficient to be credited with authorship can be indicated in the Acknowledgements, explaining the type of contribution made.

Cooperativismo y Desarrollo provides free and immediate access to its contents. The contents may be copied and distributed by any means, as long as the authors are acknowledged, no commercial use is made of the works and no modification is made to the contents without prior authorization.

The editorial team of this journal offers an estimated time between five (5) and six (6) months for the evaluation process of the manuscripts and their publication.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to indicate that their submission complies with all of the elements listed below, and are aware that submissions that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the author.

DECLARATION OF AUTHORSHIP AND ORIGINALITY

The author sending the submission to the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo, CERTIFIES:

  • That each of the persons listed as authors has contributed directly to the intellectual content of the work, approves the contents of the manuscript submitted to the editorial process and agrees that his or her name may appear in the authorship of the same.
  • That the request has not been previously published, is not in the process of revision in another journal, nor appears in another work accepted for publication by another publisher.
  • In the case that the content has been presented in a communication or congress, the current request involves a substantial modification of the same and the text on which it is based has been adequately cited. An explanation of this circumstance is provided to the publisher in the appropriate place on the submission form ("Comments to the editor" box).
  • That each of the persons listed as author or author agrees not to submit this work for consideration of another publication while it is in the editorial process in the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.
  • That the contribution of those persons who, not being signatories of the article or responsible for the final version, have contributed substantially to the development of the work and have given their permission for such mention, has been acknowledged in a note of the article, as a way of thanking them.
  • That the data and publications on which the information contained in the work is based, or which have had a relevant influence on it, have been cited in the text and in the list of bibliographical references, being responsible, as far as copyright is concerned, for any litigation or claim related to intellectual property rights, exonerating the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo from responsibility.

Likewise, the author submitting the paper must confirm compliance with the following points:

  • The text complies with the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the Uniformity requirements for originals of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.
  • If the text is attached to a section of the journal subject to peer review (see policy sections), has made sure to follow the directions given in Ensuring Blind Review.
  • The file sent is in DOC or DOCX format.
  • In the references, the DOI or URL address has been added, where possible.

The authors who publish in the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo agree to the following terms:

  • Authors retain copyright, guaranteeing Cooperativismo y Desarrollo journal the right to first publication of the work they submit to the journal for submission to the editorial process.
  • The authors are aware that their work is published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license that allows others to share it with an acknowledgement of the authorship of the work and its initial publication in this journal.
  • The authors assign to the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo the exploitation rights of the work that has been published in this journal, authorizing the Editorial of the same for the exercise of free reproduction, distribution and public communication for non-commercial purposes.
  • The authors are aware that their work will be stored in servers and reproduced in digital format for its incorporation into institutional repositories and databases that will facilitate free and open access to the full text of the work.
  • Authors may distribute the version of the work published in the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo immediately after the publication of each issue (for example, placing it in an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with an express acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
