As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The manuscript has not been previously published or is under consideration by any other journal. Manuscripts submitted to preprint servers with assigned DOI are accepted. Access the Letter of originality and authors' contribution and prepare your declaration according to the model; which must be attached as a supplementary file to the manuscript during the current submission process.
  • The original manuscript complies with the Uniformity requirements for originals of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.
  • References have been prepared following the requirements of the APA 7th edition. Whenever possible, the DOI or URL address is provided for each reference.
  • All illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the appropriate places in the text, rather than at the end, and there is a reference to each of them in the text.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines described below.
  • The data of the main author and each one of the co-authors are correctly reflected in the metadata of the submission; state full names and surnames, institution they represent, e-mail and updated ORCID (https://orcid.org).

The article submission process will be carried out exclusively online from the OJS platform of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo. The author must complete all the metadata requested in order to have the required information about the authors and the manuscript. To submit a manuscript, please consult and follow the instructions available in the Uniform requirements for originals of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.

Submitting and receiving the pertinent corrections through the submission system implies agreeing with the journal's policies and, among other points, agreeing with the following ethical and rigorous aspects:

  • The manuscript submitted is original and has not been previously published and is not being evaluated for publication in another journal. Manuscripts sent to preprint servers with assigned DOI are accepted. The Letter of originality and authors' contribution should be sent as a complementary file to the manuscript.
  • The manuscript complies with all the publication standards of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.
  • The manuscript complies with the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the Uniform requirements for originals of the journal Cooperativismo y Desarrollo.
  • The documents cited in the manuscript are issued by authoritative sources such as: prestigious organizations recognized by national or international bodies; national or international peer-reviewed scientific journals; repositories; as well as books and other documents that offer elements that identify authors or editors responsible for the published contents.
  • The main author of the manuscript is responsible for all the contents of the same and declares that there are no plagiarism, conflicts of interest or ethical conflicts, releasing the Journal from any ethical and legal commitment.

Authorship

All authors, in order to receive credit as such, must have contributed substantially to the following aspects or categories within the research:

  1. Study conception and design
  2. Collection, analysis and interpretation of data
  3. Elaboration of the draft (first version)
  4. Critical revision of the article with important contributions to its intellectual content
  5. Approval of the final version to be published
  6. Others considered relevant

All authors are responsible for the integrity and quality of the article submitted and eventually published. Authors who do not fall into these categories may be mentioned in the acknowledgements. Generally, neither the collection of data nor the contribution of funds can be considered exclusively for crediting authorship.

Declaration of the authors' contribution

Authors should state explicitly in the Letter of originality and authors' contribution the contribution of each one to the research.

As an example, the contributions can be described as follows, according to the previous categories:

  1. (Name and surname) and (Name and surname) designed the study, analyzed the data, and prepared the draft
  2. (Name and surname) was involved in the collection, analysis and interpretation of the data
  3. All authors reviewed the writing of the manuscript and approve the version finally submitted

All those who contributed to the article but who do not fit the above-mentioned categories of authorship or whose contributions were not sufficient to be credited with authorship can be indicated in the Acknowledgements, explaining the type of contribution made.

Cooperativismo y Desarrollo provides free and immediate access to its contents. The contents may be copied and distributed by any means, as long as the authors are acknowledged, no commercial use is made of the works and no modification is made to the contents without prior authorization.

The editorial team of this journal offers an estimated time between five (5) and six (6) months for the evaluation process of the manuscripts and their publication.
